How to cure a headache that just won't go away?

The pain is in the back of my neck on the right side and goes around to the front. I have taken all the tylenol I can swallow. I can't take advil or mortin, i'm allergic to it. I got very little sleep last night and probably won't get a nap today. Any tips on how to get it to stop hurting?

Midol works very well for me, I get terrible headaches frequently. Good luck! None of these other answers seem to be telling you what can really help you! Try the Midol, my husband takes it for headaches as well, give us an update!! (Note: IT contains APAP same as Tylenol so do not take with Tylenol at same time).

Rub the bottom right part of your palm.
It is possible, that it is a sinus infection. I have had similar headaches and it is caused by the sinus's being inflamed and pinching the nerves in the temple and neck. Try sinutab or polaramine antihistamine. But you should be seeing a doctor.
see a massage therepist.
Any pain coming from the back of the neck should be taken serious so go to the doc
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;

Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine %26amp;H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.

Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help you.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

Reflexologists would probably recommend massaging the tips of your toes and fingers. You can also do some stretching exercises, or get a friend to massage the area for you.
technically it isnt' a headache you can try a good massage to smooth your neurons or a hot bath followed by a cold shower (the skin feelings take priority and are going to put your headache aside )
GO TO THE DOCTOR!!

it might be a serious issue

please i reccomend it
Not able to nap today? You must be a mom. You probably have a stress headache. If you are like many moms, we tend to overtax ourselves. Eventually, the body says, "Stop!" If you think that might be true for you, the best thing to do is get a babysitter away from home and take the day off. Go take that nap that you need so desperately. Pamper yourself a little. If you don't, your body will eventually make you---but in a way that is much more dangerous to you than a headache.
If you have had this for this long, you should be consulting a doctor straight away.

I don't know what tylenol is (we have different names for things over here), but some types of painkiller are also peoplekillers if you take too much (and it doesn't *seem* that big an amount - less than 20 tablets in 24 hours can do it) if not dealt with quickly, so TELL your doctor how much of it you have taken.
do little sex when ever u get headache... i m not joking, it might be self or with any partner...it works very good.
Check this out for a lot of information on headaches/migraines http://www.aches.in/headache.html
take something like a chopstick and feel around for the "spot" that is about an inch in, on the top of your foot between the big and second toe.

use steady pressure with the chopstick for a few seconds, release and try again. you can do this on either foot. or both.

it's an accupuncture technique. similar to rubbing the part of the palm between the thumb and forefinger, but supposed to work better.

good luck.
I cuold make a joke and tell you to divorce him, however, my oldest daughter gets migranes so bad she vomits, and has to wear a black mask, and do nothing but lay in bed for 8 to 12 hours. Her doctor has prescribed a medication called Imetrex, it is the only thing that helps her, and even that takes a while to kick in....Ask your doctor about this med....good luck I can identify with you somewhat.
Whenever a headache strikes drink lots of water .Lack of oxygen may have lead to your headache. Place a few ice-cubes in a polythene bag, and apply this on the forehead and temples. Check out http://useinfo-headache.blogspot.com/ for more info
Cut a lime in half and rub half of the lime on your forehead.
