Chiropractors have very good results from treating migraines. A migraine headache is now thought to be a neurovascular event and there is a growing body of knowledge that shows chiropractic adjustments are helpful in many cases.

I was having a blinding one sided headache, my grandfather put a one ounce lead fishing weight on a piece of yarn and put it around my neck. He had me sit up very straight and still for about ten minutes. The headache was gone! He had me wear it for about ten days. Said it had something to do with the nerves in the spine.
Many people have had relief from migraine headaches by eating two teaspoons of honey at each meal. This will also prevent an attack in many people.

Another effective means is to use natural apple cider vinegar . Equal parts of natural apple cider vinegar and water should be placed in a small pan on the stove, allowing it to boil slowly. When the fumes begin to rise from the pan, lean your head over it until the fumes are comfortably strong. Inhale for approximately 50 to 80 breaths. This generally alleviates the headache considerably, if not entirely.

Moisten your fingertips with Pure Almond Carrier Oil then add two drops of Lavender Essential Oil. In a circular motion, gently massage your temples, the hollows at the sides of your eyes, behind your ears, and over your neck.
Stop smoking pot
I wouldn't know but you could ask my friend Mary J. Warner
Caffeine is usually good for getting rid of headaches - not sure about migraines. It opens up the blood vessels in your head so blood can flow easier. Try some caffeine, if not i think you just have to wait it out (preferably in a quiet and dark room) if you don't have an RX for imitrex or whatever else is out there. Feel better soon!
My friend's daughter has had much success with peppermint and lavender essential oils applied to the temples and back of the neck.

First be sure it is truly a migraine. Some folks will call any bad headache a migraine. True migraines are usually one sided and the victim is VERY sensitive to light and sometimes noise. If it is a migraine you should rest in a darkened, quiet room. You can put a cold cloth on your head and try taking two tylenol and two ibuprofen at the same time.
a very dark quiet room, ice pack applied to head for short periods of time and take a over the counter med just for migraines. I could not even be on the computer if I had a migraine.

Good luck..
Try to clear your digestion, often times my migraines are caused by indigestions.
loosen all tight clothing

take one disprin and drink a large glass of water

lay down and relax and try to sleep.

if you are not in the mood to lay down, drink the water then go for a walk.

you may find that your diet is part of the problem. lower your sugar intake.
